This kit includes the , enabling two-channel digital XLR audio input via full-size jacks, making it easy to pair pro-grade microphones without any additional external adapters. It also enhances handling during low-angle or handheld filming. The included covers a useful 18-105mm focal range (27-157.5mm full-frame equivalent) with internal zoom and focusing, while maintaining a constant f/4 aperture throughout the range for consent exposure.

The E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS is a power zoom lens, which is ideal for video production, offering smooth zoom and focus transitions thanks to its internal mechanism and linear motor. The 6x zoom range is equivalent to 27-158mm in 35mm full-frame equivalent, covering wide scenes through to portrait framing and short tele shots.

The constant f/4 aperture ensures consistent exposure throughout the zoom range, and Optical SteadyShot compensates for camera shake during handheld filming. The lens features quiet and responsive autofocus, a zoom rocker for precise control, and a physical focus hold button.

XLR-H1 XLR Handle Unit

The included Sony XLR-H1 XLR Handle Unit improves grip and includes two XLR terminals for digital audio recording at up to 4 channels 24-bit audio. Two full-size XLR/TRS combo jacks support 48V phantom power and are paired with a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack input, enabling up to four channels of 24-bit audio recording. This is well-suited to interviews, live performances, and any situation that benefits from multi-source audio.
