The includes Sony’s 12.1MP full-frame Exmor R sensor with BIONZ XR processor, which is capable of 4K 120p recording with 10-bit 4:2:2 colour. Internal S-Cinetone profiles and S-Log3 with 15+ stops of dynamic range support broadcast-ready footage with plenty of grading versatility in post.
The body is perfect for shooting without a full cage, thanks to Sony’s compact flat-topped body design with multiple mounting threads, tally lamp, and cooling system for long-form projects without worrying about overheating. The compact is also compatible with CFexpress Type A and SD cards, and users benefit from a vari-angle LCD, USB streaming, and active stabilisation modes from this compact and versatile body.
The second-generation delivers a wide focal range, with a lightweight design that is ideal for handheld recording, or gimbal operation. Its compact, lightweight second-generation design matches the FX3’s handling, while a constant f/2.8 aperture and refined optics provide excellent low-light performance and cinematic depth of field.
