This clever accessory from  allows you to take photos and videos with your smartphone camera, through the eyepiece of your telescope. Unlike some smartphone adaptors, the Sky-Watcher SmartPhoto+ Smartphone Camera Adaptor is extremely simple to use.

In the first instance, your smartphone is clamped securely in the adaptor’s protective foam-lined jaws and by loosening the other clamping bolt, the smartphone camera can be easily centred over the eyepiece. This is achieved by moving the smartphone either backwards, forwards or pivoting sideways, after which the adaptor is secured to the eyepiece using two plastic screws.

The basic adaptor is also compatible with Sky-Watcher’s Super-MA, Super Plossl and Ultrawide 1.25” eyepieces (with the rubber eyecup removed) as well as many standard 1.25” eyepieces of other brands with a diameter up to 34mm.
