The SIGMA TELE Converter TC-1401 has been developed exclusively for Sigma’s new Global Vision lenses and offer the finest glass materials to ensure the best possible image quality. Both models incorporate SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements that offer excellent aberration correction, ensuring a new high standard for tele Converters. Their compact and lightweight designs also provide an easy extension of focal range and their durable construction make them suitable for professional use, helped by their dust and splash-proof design.

Incorporating SLD glass elements for better image quality

The TC-1401 incorporates 1 SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element.

By minimising chromatic aberration effectively it has achieved very good optical performance, maintaining the optical quality of the original lens.

Compatible with large diameter lenses

Its power distribution is designed for lenses of large diameter. Stable image quality is achieved right to the corners. The rich peripheral brightness enables images to be captured at every focal length.

Professional durable dust and splash-proof construction

The TC-1401 is dust and splash-proof, designed for higher durability. Lenses such as the  and other telephoto lenses can be used in rain.

Effective AF up to f/8

It is possible to shoot with AF with lenses supporting AF up to f/8. Evaluation with SIGMA’s own MTF measuring system “A1”. SIGMA has developed their own proprietary MTF (modulation transfer function) measuring system (A1) using 46-megapixel Foveon direct image sensors. Even previously undetectable high-frequency details are now within the scope of our quality control inspections. The SIGMA TELE CONVERTER TC-1401 will all be checked using this “A1” before they are shipped.

Ease of use

A rubber part is attached to where it mounts with the original lens, and it prevents the devices from scratching each other. It has the same materials and finishing for integrated design as the lenses from the new product lines.
