Rycote has introduced their most advanced windshield kit yet – the Nano Shield. This new kit is 30% lighter and has a smaller overall footprint compared to their existing Modular Windshield Kits. The patented Lyre mounts have been redesigned for improved handling noise reduction and can be easily adjusted or swapped out without the need for tools. The oval blimp design with non-parallel sides offers better wind protection and the large hexagonal pockets provide improved acoustic transparency. The Nano Shield also features a slim design friction-braking swivel arm, low profile XLR cable with built-in RF filter and switchable 80Hz low-cut, and an ergonomic handle with built-in PCS quick release.

One of the most unique features of the Nano Shield is its mix-n-match design, allowing for interchangeable magnetic basket halves to fit various microphone sizes. The advanced Lyre mounts are also more compliant and can be adjusted or repositioned with the thumbwheel attached to the mounting bar. With its compatibility chart for different microphone sizes and its reversible XLR holder, the Nano Shield offers versatility and convenience for any recording situation.
