All Profoto Softboxes have a recessed front to which you can attach a softgrid. The Profoto Softgrid 1×4′ reduces the light spread to 50°. In other words, it creates a more focused light and eliminates a large amount of stray light, allowing you to shape the light even more precisely.

By reducing the spread of light, a softgrid can help create more contrast in your images, resulting in a more dramatic and atmospheric look. With regard to reducing unwanted stray light, it is especially useful if you want to avoid illuminating the background or surrounding areas.
Compatible with the Profoto Softbox line. Cannot be used with the RFi, OCF and Clic Softbox series.
