Laowa Nanomorph 50mm T2.4 1.5x S35 Anamorphic Lens Amber Flare PL/EF Summary
The Nanomorph 50mm T2.4 Lens, AMBER Flare version, MFT / M43 / Micro Four Thirds Mount is a 1.5x squeeze anamorphic cinema lens, fitted with a Micro Four Thirds (MFT / M43) mount, suitable for Panasonic, Olympus, OM-System, Blackmagic Design, and other mirrorless systems using the Micro Four Thirds mount. The mount can be interchanged with Laowa’s dedicated bayonet mounts, available separately.
This “Amber” version produces warm orange colour lateral flares.
Extremely compact and lightweight in its class, the Nanomorph 50mm T2.4 Anamorphic lens is lightweight at around 390g, is 100mm long, with 60mm diameter, making it a viable option for capturing cinematic footage from drones, gimbal setups and rigs where size and weight are limited. Close focus is 70cm, and takes 55mm front filters
Dedicated for Super 35 and smaller sensors, the Laowa Nanomorph Amamorphic Cinema lens series cover an image circle of 25.6x16mm. They are full manual lenses, with manual focus and unified placement of 0.8 mod gearing on the aperture and focus rings for follow focus setups. Unified gear position allows users to switch lenses quickly and without readjustment on the focus gear, All mirrorless versions have a front diameter of 58mm. Both imperial and metric scale are printed on the lens body for ease of use.
Laowa’s patented design offers consistent, uniform squeeze ratio of 1.5x squeeze at all subject distances. This avoids distortion of actors faces when following focus at different distances in the scene, and avoids complicated post processing of footage with differing squeeze ratios of other lenses. Laowa’s unique anamorphic design features uniform squeeze ratio with excellent optical quality solving many struggles that the anamorphic shooter would normally have to deal with.
Other mount options available.
The Nanomorph Anamorphic Cine lenses are available in various mounts including: Canon EF / Arri PL, Canon R, Sony E, M43 (Micro Four Thirds)
DJI DL, Nikon Z, L mount and Fujifilm X mounts are available on Special Order.
The Mirrorless mount versions (Sony E, Fuji X, Canon RF, Nikon Z, L Mount, MFT, DJI DL), optional bayonets mounts for changing the mount are available separately.
