New optical designers on the block are responsible for designing a series of unique lenses for , including this 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift Lens. As a specialist ultra wide angle model it’s designed primarily for architectural and interior photography, where vertical lines come at a premium. These can be corrected without the need for software through an impressive +/- 11mm shift capability. The lens can also be rotated through 360º to provide straight lines in literally any direction. Other popular uses for shift lenses of this nature include landscape photography, seascapes, astro, Milky way and other subjects which suit 15mm. Laowa’s ‘Zero-D’ means results show minimal distortion whatever the subject.
