With just three sections this is a stable and highly rigid model within the line, perfect for low vibration and high rigidity. The Gitzo GT3532 Mountaineer Series 3, 3-Section Carbon Tripod is also amongst the most rigid from the Mountaineer range of . It supports medium format cameras, mirrorless and DSLRs with 300mm lens up to 400mm maximum. Carbon eXact tubes and new design features of Series 3 Mountaineer tripods offer increased rigidity along with reduced weight.

Mountaineer tripods feature G-lock Ultra, a redesigned version of  signature leg lock system G-lock. G-lock Ultra has even more comfortable operation and reduced risk of debris entering the tubes and locking mechanisms. It is fine-tuned for the smaller differences in tube diameter between leg sections ofCarbon eXact tubes, contributing to increased stiffness of the legs.

The Ground Level Set mechanism, which lets the photographer remove the centre column to get the camera closer to the ground, has been completely redesigned for faster operation. A single simple unlocking ring under the column’s upper disc frees the column while keeping the upper disc solidly in place on the tripod, with no need to unscrew and re-fit the upper disc and hook as in previous versions.

The standard height Gitzo GT3532 is designed to securely support professional cameras while still being highly portable. The tripod features Carbon eXact tubing with larger leg diameters. Its top leg-section diameter of 32.9 mm and high modulus carbon fibre lower leg sections make this tripod far more rigid and stronger than its predecessors.

Despite weighing only 1.88 kg, the Gitzo GT3532 reaches a height of 161 cm and folds down to 64 cm, making a great choice for professional photographers who want premium stiffness from a reliable support that is light enough to carry for hours while hiking and exploring.

The rapid centre column can be easily removed, transforming it into a ground level set enabling photographers to capture the broadest range of perspectives. It also has a reversible column mechanism. The Gitzo GT3532 three-section legs are secured by G-lock Ultra twist locks, with a built-in O-ring that keeps dirt and dust out of the leg mechanism. The tripod’s top spider is newly designed for extra rigidity, and large leg angle selectors provide e broader grip-area for leg-angle adjustment. The tripod features a stabiliser hook on its centre column to add weight and increase stability when required. Its removable feet enable it to change and adapt to any type of surface. A wide array of heads and other accessories can easily be added via the 1/4? and 3/8? attachment on the upper disc.
