Atomos Shinobi II 5-inch 1500nit HDR Monitor Summary
Following over a decade of developing successful monitoring and recording tools, Atomos has released the next-generation Atomos Shinobi II5-inch 1500nit HDR Monitor. This updated device incorporates all of Atomos’ renowned screen processing technology and professional monitoring tools, which are now housed within a new, slimmer case. The monitor also features a 50% brighter HDR screen to easier daylight viewing even in bright conditions.
The Shinobi II includes exciting new hardware capabilities, such as camera control for Canon, Panasonicand Sonycameras via USB-C, as well as Z CAM cameras via an optional USB-C to Serial cable. Atomos has also promised that additional camera brands will be supported through future firmware updates.
Thanks to its low power consumption and efficient hardware, the Atomos Shinobi II Â can run all day on a single battery charge. Advanced exposure tools like false colour, zebras, histograms, waveforms, and vector scopes help ensure accurate exposure, while a multi-tool Analysis View provides all essential information at a glance.
