Following over a decade of developing successful monitoring and recording tools, Atomos has released the next-generation Atomos Shinobi II5-inch 1500nit HDR Monitor. This updated device incorporates all of Atomos’ renowned screen processing technology and professional monitoring tools, which are now housed within a new, slimmer case. The monitor also features a 50% brighter HDR screen to easier daylight viewing even in bright conditions.

The Shinobi II includes exciting new hardware capabilities, such as camera control for Canon, Panasonicand Sonycameras via USB-C, as well as Z CAM cameras via an optional USB-C to Serial cable. Atomos has also promised that additional camera brands will be supported through future firmware updates.

Thanks to its low power consumption and efficient hardware, the Atomos Shinobi II  can run all day on a single battery charge. Advanced exposure tools like false colour, zebras, histograms, waveforms, and vector scopes help ensure accurate exposure, while a multi-tool Analysis View provides all essential information at a glance.
